Los Gatos Smog Check (Lark Avenue 76)

Very patient and definitely recommended for a smog check! I went through over 20 shops’ Google reviews and eventually shortlisted three (the other two were in Campbell and San Jose’s Japantown). This one had a 5.0 rating but only 7 reviews, so I was a bit hesitant at first. I arrived at 9:00 AM,  no line, and my test was done immediately. Although my car didn’t pass due to a check engine light with a permanent fault code, the inspector opened the hood, got under the car to check it, and realized I had already fixed the issue (yes, I had it repaired last Friday). He patiently explained that even after a repair, the system still needs around 15 warm-up cycles to verify the fix before the code can clear. •    The inspector wasn’t familiar with SmogCheck.net’s 30-day retest policy. (Edited, I got automatically email redeem code from smogcheck.net) •    I didn’t get any repairs or maintenance done here, so I’m not sure about their other service charges.

(Los Gatos Location) This review is specifically for the Smog Check Network in Los Gatos, and I couldn’t recommend it more! The technician was so polite, helpful, and made the whole process completely stress-free. I was in and out in just 15 minutes with all the paperwork I needed. Even when I didn’t know what button to press in my car, he patiently helped me figure it out without rushing or making me feel silly. That kind of calm professionalism is rare—and much appreciated. If you need a smog check in the South Bay, this is 100% the place to go.
